With all the snow and cold weather of late, it is hard to think about the warm weather to come. Just think, soon it will be March. The winter is basically behind us. Now’s the time to start thinking about spending time on your deck.

First~ You need a deck. If you do not have one yet, or need to resurface the one you have, we would love to provide a free estimate.

Second~ Deck Maintenance. Spring is a great time to make sure your deck is in good condition. Look for loose boards, shaky rails and/or handrails. Don’t wait for someone to take a tumble when a quick check could prevent any mishaps.

Third~ Cleaning. Take time to pressure wash your deck. If it is a wooden deck, now may be a good time to freshen up the stain. Or maybe you want to consider resurfacing the decking with a maintenance free composite. Composite decks can be cleaned with a pressure washer and a deck cleaning product found at most hardware stores.

Fourth~ Time to decorate!
Instead of purchasing patio sets, why not go to yard sales or thrift shops and with a little TLC you can put together your own style.
Don’t forget the plants! Nothing spruces up a deck like plants.
Lighting. Adding low voltage, solar or 110v lighting will allow late evening entertaining or relaxation.
Maybe add a Pergola. Not only is a pergola a great sun diffuser, but adds another place to hang flowers.
